Vintage Nuristan Afghanistan Kohistani Childs Ceremonial Embroidered Ethnic Vest Top
This vintage Nuristan Afghanistan Kohistani childs ceremonial embroidered ethnic vest top dates from the 1960s. It is hand stitched, made of a black cotton fabric with colorful hand embroidered cross stitch decorative geometric designs, a variety of ornamental buttons, sequin beading and metal zipper trim edging embellishments. This charming childs ceremonial traditional dress vest jacket is sleeveless with fold over collar, side slit vents, open front with a single heart shape button closure and is fully lined in a red plaid cotton fabric inside. This Nomadic tribal traditional childs dress comes from the Nuristan "Land of Light" province of Afghanistan and Swat Valley province of Pakistan Kohistani. The vest measures 16 inches long, with a 22 inch chest, 22 inch waist and 9 inch back. It is in good as-is condition with some wear to the fabric with several frayed holes (see close-ups). This is truly an amazing and rare piece of antique Pakistani, Afghani ethnic embroidery tribal textile wearable art!
