Travel back to yesteryear with this gorgeous souvenir water decal from MARINELAND of the PACIFIC, once a bustling attraction on the Palos Verdes Peninsula in CALIFORNIA.
MARINELAND
opened in August 1954 and closed in 1987 and
featured whales, porpoises, seals, dolphins, sea lions, and fish living together in 2 huge 22-foot deep tanks.
This exceptional vintage decal is one of the few souvenirs that remain of one of the country's best-loved marine attractions.
Created by the famous LINDGREN-TURNER CO, the decal measures 3 3/4" wide by 2 1/2" tall and is numbered C-172.  It features Bubbles, the sweet whale who had her own stadium at Marineland, and lived there until it closed in 1987. It is in first class condition with bright, vivid colors and fantastic artwork and is in its original printed glassine sleeve.
A very rare water decal and a "must-have" for any serious collection.
