    Includes a great old road, trail and township map of Butte County, a classic slice of California in the northern part of the Sacramento Valley and western slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range (from Metsker’s, 1953); a vintage street map of Chico, the largest city this far north in California (population: 103,000) and the home of California State University-Chico (with a student body of 17,000) (from California State Automobile Association, 1969, back when Chico was still a small farm town of 19,000 residents and Chico State was a teacher’s college with 4,000 students); and a vintage street map of Oroville (Butte County’s seat of government) as well as a road map of Butte County (from Oroville Chamber of Commerce, 1973).
