    Description

This is a decorative souvenir spoon from the now closed Aladero Pantyhose Junction truck stop off of I-5 near Dunnigan, California. I believe it dates from the mid-late 1970s. One end shows a waitress in the truck stop's infamous black and white 'French Maid' uniforms with "Aladero Pantyhose Junction Dunnigan CA" behind a plastic bubble cover. The other end is engraved with a map of California showing Eureka, Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Golden Gate Bridge, grapes, the Capitol, and the Hollywood Bowl above a banner "The Golden State". There are no maker's marks and I believe it is a metal alloy. It is 4 1/2 inches long. In good condition, no damage other than the image background is yellowed.
