PRP Saturday Evening Girls pottery 6 landscape medalion mugs arts & crafts blue

Here is a very nice set of 6 Saturday Evening Girl's, Paul Revere Pottery mugs.  They each have a landscape medallion with green trees, a lake, and a yellow sunset or sunrise sky.  The mug bodys are banded in two-tone blue.  Family provenance is as follows: this is from a set made by Lilly Shapiro for her friend Lillian (Levin) Lewis, sister of Stella (Levin) Kaye (who also received a dinner set on the occasion of her marriage) in the 1920s.  They are in great condition with only a couple minute rim nicks and no other chips, cracks, repairs or firing flaws.    They measure about 3 1/4 inches in high, 3 1/8 inches in diameter, and 4 1/4 across the handle.  In 1923 the name Paul Revere Pottery was incorporated and after that date pieces were marked with a die-stamped seal, or the ink-stamp like these are.   A good set of New England Arts & Crafts art pottery.  If you have any questions please click on our username or visit our store page and feel free to email through the gallery or call Jim Messineo at JMW Gallery.
