    Description

This listing is for a complete rug hooking  designed, packaged, and sold  by Sharon Perry. This kit which is suitable for the beginner or seasoned rug hooker comes with the following items:
100% wool fabric cut in #8 (1/4") strips
A color photo of the finished piece along with a color key
Pattern drawn on a lovely cotton monks cloth
Easy to follow rug hooking instructions
Cotton binding to finish it off once you have it hooked
If this is your first project the only other items you will need are a rug hook and a frame to put your piece in. I started off with a quilting hoop and did several rugs on that before spending more money and getting a floor frame. I think you need to determine whether you like a hobby before spending a ton of money on it.
As for the hook I have solid hardwood and steel hooks listed for .00 but you can choose the option to add one to your kit for just .50 when you make your purchase.
This kit when completed measures 9 X 19 inches and would make a great table accent/runner or wall hanging especially over a door or window frame.  The posies are done with two shades of dyed gold and dyed yellow with an over dyed dark brown plaid for the centers. The leaves are done with two lovely dark greens and the background with a mixture of mostly hand dyed blues hooked at random.  For a finishing touch I added three rows mixed dyed wool shades hooked the old fashioned hit and miss way.
