Built with 3/4” thick pine exterior grade plywood, coated stainless steel screws will never rust or back out and all edges glued then caulked to keep the inside watertight.
The approximate dimensions are 24” wide, 27” high and 1 3/8” thick at the thickest point. The most narrow space for the bats is 1/2” thick which will prevent wasps and other insects from nesting.
The inside of the front and back panels have grooves for the bats to be able to grasp and climb.
This roost has the all important grooved landing area.

This roost will be painted but it depends on what part of the U.S. you will put it up. Some areas require a black box while other require a lighter color due to temperature.
