IMPERIAL FREEHAND UNDOCUMENTED DECOR BURNISHED GOLDEN ORANGE LUSTRE VASE EXC BIN
I've owned this vase for over 25 years, as I recognized that the gold finish was something different than the usual Imperial lead lustre finishes. I finally found an example on the great Ernie Albanese website on Imperial Art Glass. If you google Imperial Art Glass, this site is first. Offered is a 7 3/4" x 4 3/4" vase in excellent condition, having no chips, cracks or repairs. Please enlarge the photos for a closer look, excusing the glare spots. Please note the undocumented burnished golden orange lustre finish. The last photo shows an example of this finish that I found on the Ernie Albanese Imperial Art Glass website. When you are on the website, click on the last offering under VII, Lead Lustre Gallery, Misc. Other. The vase was finished with a burnished gold over the orange. The 5th photo shows the inside top of the vase, which has the typical orange lustre finish. You can see the difference between the inside orange color and the gold color on the body of the vase in this photo. The white spot on the right side of this photo is glare, not finish loss. The next to last photo shows the burnished gold close up. The gold finish has a textured look, not raised, just textured. You may find a find a few light scratches, mentioned for accuracy.
