[THATS WHY MANY OF THE HOUSE'S BUILT WITH THE AIR O MATIC WOODS HAVE TO BE AIRED OUT FOR 1 TO 2 YEARS BEFORE YOU GET CRITTERS. ALL SO THESE WOODS CAN MAKE THEM SICK IF THEY CHEW ON IT.

OHIO  HARD PINE IS WHAT MANY PIONEERS USED FOR SHINGLES FOR THERE ROOFS. MANY ARE STILL IN USE TODAY. IT IS A MORE DENSE WOOD, HEAVY'ER, AND ONE OF THE BEST FOR INSULATION FOR THE THE CRITTERS..
I will not be Cute and explain the advantages of these. If your looking you all ready know the advantages. The main thing to know is that these WORK. This is not a E- LL chepo in construction. FOR THE DOLLAR IS LARGER THAN MOST. (see dimensions) It is made with new and old quality  wood where it counts.  Bat baby's are like baby birds and some times drop out of the box.
