  • Condition: Hard to find, great condition. May have been fur lined, but scant lining remains. May have never had had fur, very hard to know. Leather is soft, vintage, and there are no holes or damage found. Awesome estate find. I did NOT unsnap the snaps or test them. They look great, with minor paint loss or rub marks, but I did not want to attempt to unsnap them in case that would damage them. The box is NOT original to the mittens, it is just a very old box that they were found in- it is missing one side panel and the other came off when taking photos. . One photo looks like there is a white scrape on the top of one mitten, it is only light reflection. No scrapes were found. (PLEASE SEE PHOTOS). The precise color of the items may vary depending on the specific monitor, the settings and the lighting conditions. The item's color as depicted in this listing should only be used as a guide, as your monitor may show the colors differently. Vintage items are not perfect.

    Description

Antique VTG Edwardian Little LEATHER MITTENS for Child Topstiched Dan 4th Snaps.........Box 19: leathermittens
Set of brown leather mittens with topstitching and a Dan 4th snap. They are approx. 5.5" long, and they look like they might fit a 2-4 year old. The box is not original to the gloves, I'm not sure what the Pacemaker Company made. Unable to locate any info on that company. The side piece of the box came off when photographing the box, please be aware that one strip is not attached and the other strip is missing. These are hard to find -quality, expensive, leather mittens from the Edwardian period in such good condition. Some of the photos have what appears as a whitish streak across one of the top of the mittens, but that is the light bouncing off the leather. Very good condition for the age, no damage found. Early 1900's, probably Edwardian (1901- 1914 time frame for these mittens )based on the other items from the home where the estate sale took place.
PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS AND READ "CONDITION" BELOW BEFORE PURCHASE.
