Description

A beautiful antique, Victorian, cream colored fine wool long baby Christening or strolling coat having a large cape like collar accented with 3/16" silk ribbon around the peaked and gathered flounce sections.  Mimicing baby tucks.  2 button closure in front yoke.  Ribbon trim on sleeve cuffs.  Full gathered body below coat yoke in front and back.  Fully lined in a fine woven cotton or linen fabric.  A suitable weight wool for Spring, Fall and Winter with a blankie.   Beautiful for an antique baby doll, special teddy bear or a real baby special event or photo shoot.

Collar width 6-1/2" to 7-1/2" at widest (shoulder)
Displays great.  Wool has some age appropriate wear, worn spots here and there-see detail pic of the collar at neck edge-spot in back and at shoulders, worn or pulled spot at 1 shoulder-didn't get pic.  1" worn spot at side seam close to botton, see pic.  Bottom buttonhole has pulled wool-needs hand stitch repair.  Buttons don't match... I may have 2 matching in an appropriate size I can send along.  There may be a few other very small worn wool spots I missed but not distracting if so.  I don't see any moth nibbles.  Overall very good antique condition.  I have not hand washed this and leave cleaning to the new owner.  Some light old spotting on inside of 1 cuff, not seen normally.   Has a bit of surface dust from storage.

Shipping
INSURANCE & DELIVERY CONFIRMATION (or Signature if over 0.00) is INCLUDED in the shipping & handling fee.
