    Description

Antique George II English Mask Sterling Silver Sauceboat Made by Charles Chesterman I in 1753. An incredibly rare Georgian Sauceboat in very good condition for the age with a few very well done repairs to two of the legs but hard to notice and for an item of silver almost 300 years old is not unexpected. The legs and feathery feet are cast and there is a cherub face mask on the end of the handle. There is a faint bird and flag crest on one side. There is a split about an inch on the inside of the boat where the top leg is attached. A very easy repair. I wanted to leave it in the original condition I found it to leave it up to the new owner if they want to have any work done on it. It has a few very tiny splits on the edges must really look for them and a few very minor dings. All the condition reported is for accuracy but overall a fabulous Sauceboat. It measures 7.75 inches long 4.25 inches wide and 6 inches at the highest point. It weighs 375 grams or 13.4 standard ounces of Sterling Silver. A fantastic Sauceboat for the Georgian silver collector. Shipping to the USA will be 38.00 dollars insured.
