Up for sale is a very nice and extremely solid 1976 Mercedes-Benz 450 SEL all original survivor. This car would make an excellent daily driver or would be an excellent candidate for restoration. This car runs and drives great! It fires right up every time! It's very comfortable and fun to drive. Engine runs strong and transmission shifts well. Brand new plugs and wires, belts and rear calipers. Original paint. Typical lacquer spider webbing all over but still very presentable. Body is very straight except for some hail damage and a dent on the driver fender. The car doesn't appear to have been in any major accidents. Interior is in decent shape. Has some typical dash cracking and some wear through on the carpet and arm rest. Missing front ash tray. Seats are all still soft and pliable. Turn signals don't work, though they try (most likely a bad flasher). Previous owner said that the AC just needed charged to work. The rear package tray has some water damage from the rear windshield leaking. Everything else in the interior appears to function normally, even the clock.This car comes with 2 sets of rims, the original steel with hubcaps and an alloy set which was an option (one alloy is on the car). Previous owner removed muffler, but it is included with car. Over all I would say that the car is 95% rust free, with the only 2 spots that I have noticed being a few small holes in the spare tire well and a spot on the passenger rear tire lip (both pictured).
