, collectible vintage freeway map shows "indefinite opening" / 'Under Construction' and Opening dates for October 1971, January 1973, September 1972 freeways when L.A. was expanding like crazy.
Color
map produced by AAA in April 1971.
Collectible interest. Many cities were added after this map was printed.
Left side (west side) covers as far north as San Fernando Rd. (north of Sylmar) to south of Huntington Beach (locally abbreviated as "HB"), and east as far as San Dimas to Jeffrey Rd & Barranca Rd.

The Coliseum
sports arena on the map. The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum is an outdoor sports multi-purpose stadium now located in "Exposition Park" neighborhood. Commissioned in 1921, a hundred years ago, as a memorial to WWI veterans. It was completed in 1923. It hosted Summer Olympics twice.

on the map. It opened in the 1950's, the 1st Major League Baseball stadium opened since Yankee Stadium.
